Waiting for the Pizza

Black and white photograph of my son waiting for our gluten free pizza to bake.

The boys and I made a pizza together. By the time we were finished my youngest had enough and was really hungry. He got a chair and decided the pizza would bake faster if he watched it. After all of his hard work with preparation I decided to let him do something special. He watched a show of his choice on television wearing Daddy’s headset while eating his pizza. Well worth the wait!

Coffee with my Mother

Colour photograph of beautiful, cute gluten free cupcakes, coffee and rooster napkins. Coffee time at my parents' house.

One of my favourite times spent with my Mother, besides shopping, is simply sitting having coffee with her in the home where I grew up. She makes the cutest and best gluten free cupcakes ever and we could talk for hours. Happy Mother’s Day! OXOXO

Being Your Momma

Colour photograph of my boys holding a fern and wood masterpiece creation they made for me.

I love it how you get excited when you arrive home after I’ve re-arranged the furniture in our living room.

I love it when you call your brother sweetie.

I love it when you tell me how much you enjoyed your supper.

I love it when you hold your brother’s hand.

I love it when you tell me you love me.

I love it how you get so excited over new socks and are appreciative.

I love the way you call out “Momma” in the night when you need someone. (Although I may not think so at the time.)

I love it when you tell me I have the softest belly in the world.

I love the way you support your brother 100% by eating gluten free.

I love it when you use your creative mind.

I love it when you say, “Good night, have a wonderful sleep.” (Every single night!)

I love it when you hug me tightly like you do.

I love it when you tell me I look nice today.

I love it that you use your manners.

I love it when you make a beautiful masterpiece just for me.

If I am having a bad day, I need to remember these things. I love being your Momma.

Colour photograph of my boys proud of their fern creation.

The boys made this stick and fern masterpiece for me because I always say how pretty the ferns are in our backyard. When you don’t think they are listening, they are.
